About the Show: Disney Channel's smash hit movie musical comes to life on your stage in Disney’s High School Musical JR. Now updated to the convenient binder version! Troy, Gabriella and the students of East High must deal with issues of love, friends and family while balancing their classes and extra curricular activities. It’s the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes all find their cliques. Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. The couple cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical. Although many students resent the threat posed to the "status quo," Troy and Gabriella’s alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well.

About the Audition Workshop: The audition workshop is designed for young actors of all experience levels to learn best practices and techniques for a successful audition. During the workshop, participants get an “inside scoop” and learn the audition dance (where most auditioners learn this on the day of the audition) receive direction and feedback on their vocal performance from the Director, and get encouragement from peer performers. It’s a great way to get that confidence boost before the big audition day.
WORKSHOP DATE: Wednesday, January 29 4:00-7:00 pm
PARTICIPATION FEE: $75

Please learn one vocal part from both songs that match your vocal register. both songs should be memorized to perform with a partner, or the opposite backing track (example: if you’re singing gabriella, you’ll perform with the troy soundtrack.)
